Gazprom Energoholding power output rises 12% in 2021
MOSCOW, Feb 17 (PRIME) -- The power output of Gazprom Energoholding, a subsidiary of Russian gas giant Gazprom that manages power plants, increased by 12% on the year to 142 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in 2021, as seen by PRIME on Thursday in a presentation of First Deputy CEO Pavel Shatsky during a conference organized by VTB Capital.
Production of thermal power increased by 16% to 129.1 million gigacalories.
The company’s revenue rose by 16.6% on the year to 572.8 billion rubles in 2021, as calculated under Russian Accounting Standards (RAS). Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) gained 9.8% to 127.6 billion rubles.
Gazprom Energoholding’s investment program amounted to 106 billion rubles in 2021, and it should grow by 15–20% in 2022, Shatsky said during the conference.
The company also plans to launch a thermal power plant in the Serbian city of Pancevo soon. he also said. The plant has been operating already, it is waiting for an official launch to happen.
